Two judges, a state trooper and a Carroll County deputy were among six people pleading guilty in Greenville, Miss., Friday to misdemeanor federal charges involving dove hunting over a baited field.
Pleading guilty were Circuit Judge Clarence Morgan III of Kosciusko, Grenada County Justice Court Judge Jimmy Tallant, Highway Patrol Trooper Cedric C. Adams of Greenwood, Carroll County Chief Deputy Sheriff Michael Spellman, Grenada businessman Hubert Ben Liles and Bill Ashmore.
Fines ranging from $500 to $2,000 and loss of hunting privileges for specified times were levied against each.
