Rock star Kid Rock’s assistant died in an apparent ATV accident on the star’s Nashville property, according to The Tennessean.
Kid Rock, whose birth name is Robert Ritchie, found his assistant yesterday. Late Sunday night, Michael Sacha, 30, was ferrying guests from a cookout on the property to the driveway, so the guests could get an Uber.
Police told the newspaper that they believe that when Sacha was traveling back to the residence, he lost control of the ATV and crashed.
Kid Rock and his friend found Sacha in an embankment Monday and called police. The assistant was already dead when authorities arrived.
The celebrity plans to “bring [Sacha] home to his family.”
“We’ve already been contacted by the press asking if it was me who was in the accident, so I want to stop any rumors before they spread,” the singer said in a statement to The Tennessean.
“I’m asking everyone to please respect our and his families’ privacy in this difficult time. RIP Mike. We will never forget you, my friend.”
