Sure Cycle System
Just wondering if anyone has installed the Sure Cycle System in their gun and if it is worth the money. I have debated for a couple of year about getting one. Just wondering if it increases the performance as advertised.

I have one in my SBE and I can shoot light loads. However, my is an older SBE made by H & K. It is a great product and I would also recomend the springs and plugs they offer. My gun is also been coated by the boys at Gun Finnish gunfinish@msn.com. This stuff is incrediable because all I do is wash my gun and wipe it down! Good Luck with you decision!

I have one in my 1187 also. If you hunt where the stock of your gun ends up in the water frequently in my opinion it's the only way to go. The spring in my stock got so weak it could no longer close the breech, then went to look in the stock and the screws that hold the but plate on where rusted through (highly reccomend stainless steel screws for that now), then once we got the but plate off, got in to the spring housing (don't know if that's the technichal word for it), and the spring was rusted big time. Since putting the sure cycle in it, have had no problems what so ever shooting any kinds of loads, and haven't had a problem with ejecting or anything either. Not to mention that the sure cycle is also stainless steel so you shouldn't have to mess with it at all. I think it's a great gun. As far as shooting light loads, have shot about 500 flyers this summer with cheap loads from wally world and no problem and shot prolly 2000 rounds at skeet with the same stuff (what ever I can get my hands on) and again no problems, I wouln't worry to much with the light loads.
Prisonduck,
No problem at all in the 390's I've done. But I had a BIG problem with the new 391's. They come from the factory with the part you're gonna replace with lock-tite on the threads. It take quite a bit of heat and pressure to release it. I recommend a gunsmith do it on any new 391. Your 390 should screw right off with no problem. Will shoot any load that I've tested. In 2 3/4" stuff I mostly shoot the Grey AA sporting clay loads. I haven't tried it on real light loads like a 7/8 oz reload....
