To each his own, but it just aint my bag of tea. Nothing personal just my humble opinion. I know we as outdoorsmen can "sort of" relate to it but I hope the generel public cannot see the video. To outsiders looking in I could see where they would continue to build up their notion that we blatantly kill animals with no emotion or motive whatsoever. Like I said before it's just my opinion, nothing more, nothing less.

It aint pretty watching a horse try to walk on three legs.

I'm not trying to start an argument, but I'm not shooting gophers for the sole purpose of shooting them. If you don't shoot or poison them (poisoning will ofcourse impact other animals other than gophers) they will turn pastures into a varitable landmine field for horses. Horses and cows injure themselves regularly when they step into their holes. As I said previously, my uncle and I shot well over 1000 of the buggers one day. That was in one ~40acre field in about 4 hours. (that was with .22's)
I'm not saying I don't enjoy shooting them, but I don't kill them simply for the blood lust. Shooting them with varmint rifles just makes it a little more impressive. I have no excuse for the pigeon. He was target practice. I might have eaten him if there was anything left of him.

This is a hunting site. This video was not hunting it was killing.

I agree, this is a hunting site, but youtube is viewed everyday by more than just hunters. As a matter of fact there are anti's that go looking for stuff just like what was posted to use against us as hunters. If it is pest extermination, fine, but don't broadcast such a video where someone can use it in the fight against hunting.

Actually, I watched the first two kill shots and cut it out. Duramax thanks for the mature reply, I was not repremanding just, as I said before, giving my HUMBLE opinion. I was not giving anyone a holier than thou lecture. Last time I checked opinions are given here all the time, alot are NOT hunting related. Just because it's on a hunting forum doesn't mean I as an outdoorsman have to condone it. BTW Stanobuddyo, not only are you blatantly killing commorants(if that's what you were trying to spell) for no reason, but you are also breaking the law.

yeh, he was killing no doubt, but see no cows will suffer from broken legs before they get big enough to be slaughtered to be ate by us meat lovers, so he saved the cows so they could be ate latter by killing another animal, and the little varmits didnt have to be poisoned.. kind paradoxial (sp) maybe like an Esher drawing, or the circle of life....

it happens pretty much on all fronts just slightly different,.. what about the millions of pounds of by catch from the shrimp trolls that get put back in the water dead, disrupting the food chain some what.....what makes the varmits different from the baby snapper, croakers, spots etc....nothing, their just by catch too, colateral damage to feeding America..... Im sure youll all enjoy surf and turf... I know I do.....

and shooting the pigeon, Im sure he was going to eat it lol....
just trying to say theres a lot of ways to look at it...thats all

and yes I agree youtube may not be the perfect venue for the video, but it is a file sharing site....
