You'll still be able to buy it through chemical stores, just like Lorsban.

negative, if they do not renew the EPA registration it is illegal for it to be sold anywhere. Lorsban still has an EPA registration, Lorsban is classified as a restricted use pesticide which means that only certified applicators may purchase the product. They are voluntarily choosing not to renew the registration from my understanding, no one is forcing them not to except maybe that it works too well. Without MSMA, you will have to buy 2 or 3 products to be as effective as MSMA alone.

The registration on msma expires 12-31-2006. Stock up while you can.

Good ole Lorsban. That stuff will kill a flea in a half a heartbeat. You know it is pretty much the same thing as the Dursban that Orkin, Terminix etc. puts in your house.

Hard to believe that noone will be making any generic MSMA.

I dont understand why the registration is being yanked in the first place. The manufacturers must have something up their sleeve or they would not take such a good product off the market.

Most chemical companies are using Target 6.6 for MSMA.

MSMA contains organic arsenic, which the epa is concerned may be transformed into an inorganic arsenic form and infiltrate into the water supply. EPA ruled that re-registration is not eligible. This was determined August 9, 2006. Registration expires 12-31-06.

I figured that's why. Arsenic never hurt anybody. Coldwater catfish laced with toxaphene, DDT and mercury haven't killed me yet.
