I used liguid nails to attach some closed cell foam to the bottom of the rack and it has worked out great and held up better than expected. I used the same stuff to turn an old treestand into a dog stand. It gives a little something for the dog to grip and sheds water fairly well. Don't really know what to tell you about the sides and the back.

Just remebered, I did put the foam on the small vertical lip on the drop rack that goes right behind the bar of the OEM rack since that is most likely where the dog would hang up, but I left the back open.
