whose seat is the hottest
among SEC coaches that is? I would go with Croom's being the hottest:
1. Sly Croom
2. Shula
3. "O"
4. Nutt (but getting colder)
5. Fulmer (cooled off alot)
6. Rich Brooks
7. Urban Meyer
8. Les (means more) Miles
9. Richt
10. Bobby Johnson
11. Spurrier
12. Tommy Tuberville (who is not only become the most unliked but who (sadly) may be the best coach on this list.

Les Miles will not get fired this year, but with the schedule they play this year they could easily lose three more games (@UF, @UT and @Arky). That gives them four losses, which no matter what the reasoning will have the Tiger Nation in a frenzy.
I personally think Miles (or more so his staff, especially Pelini) have done a good job.
I think they will lose one or two more. They have the talent to win out. I still believe they are a better overall team than Auburn, but Auburn has the W so I give them their due.
Even if they win out, if they don't play for the NC next year, many in BR will be very upset with Miles. The schedule lays out nicely and they have a lot of talent coming back.
To answer the question, I think Croom is on the hotseat the most -- only because he has more time in the saddle than does O. However, O's time is coming I am afraid.
I think many other coaches have done much more with equal talent, at least that is my opinion. I reference Croom and O with the previous sentence.

Richt is cool as a cucumber...only worry around Athens is that he'd leave for Miami....
I don't think Wingnut (Tuberville) is too worried right now either....
Nutt got a reprieve and a bowl game would probably buy him at least another year....
The only guy that I've expected a faster turnaround from is Spurrier, but he's only in year 2....
"O" is under pressure because people expect to see some improvement from year to year instead of a decline (same with Spurrier)...I know it has something to do with getting the players you want and them learning the system...O seems to be getting the players he wants...Spurrier does not...either way they are under pressure.... But I wouldn't say "Hot Seat".... Still to early in the season to tell....

Alabama will not go 6-6 this year.
Thats absurd.

thought i would bring this back to the top, ready to change that list around a little bit there swag.
still think i might be a little absurd webbmaster, i am still a bama fan, but when every coach in the sec wants to play bama after the 5th or 6th game, so they know what shula will do before he does. that tells me he's in over his head.
so how bout it swag lets see a new list.

Now in this thread, I was absolutely wrong!

Stick, I like what you have to say. You are correct!
I based my prediction off losing to all the big SEC teams (AU, TN, FL, LSU) with Arkansas being the swing.
Never should have lumped MSU in the gimme category.
I had forgotten all about this thread...although little has changed in those top four or five. Phil got some heat off of him early, but it could be back during the off season if things continue to go down (bad day at Arkie), Shula may find some room if he could do the unthinkable and beat AU, State and UM both seem to be improving at the right time and Egg Bowl results will "mean something", Nutt is just that even though he is doing what few thought he would be able to do. May move Nutt down and Phil up, O and Croom in a dead tie for second, and Shula feeling very uncomfortable. The Georgia coach has good excuses, not his fault the polls put the Dawgs somewhere they should have never been.....my two cents.
