Ask any business owner that lives and dies by the traffic on a Ms. Delta highway what winter means to them. The response is always the same. Thank God for cold weather and guys dressed in camo. Most receive a huge bump in sales when hunting season rolls around. Local populations shifting downward makes it even more important for deer and duck season to be successful to these businesses.

Since Highway 61 runs the the length of the Mississippi River, it is a highway that is traveled heavily by hunters in the winter. So, that is where our next top dive comes from.  The next choice for the Ducksouth Top Duck Dive is Chuck’s in Rolling Fork, If the walls of Chuck’s could talk, man the history that could be told. When you walk in to the building, you know you are in a nostalgic place.  Chuck’s Dairy Bar has been a fixture of Rolling Fork since the mid 1960’s.

What about lunch or dinner? I probably would go with Chuck Burger. It is a burger with chili and slaw. If you don’t get that, make sure to get the chili cheese fires with whatever else you order. Before walking out the door, I would make sure to grab a chocolate milk shake. It may be the best one you have ever had.
