- When Was The Greatest Duck Hunt You Had And Why: It was early 2000’s and I was working a job at Delta State. Last weekend of season hunting around Itta Bena with mixed success. Gone an invite to a timber hunt Sunday morning. Everyone had made fun of my old brown camo canvas holey waders throughout the weekend. So I says to heck with y’all! I don’t need no waders. Put on two layers of long johns under my pants and proceeded to break ice. They thought I would die. I remember standing on cypress knees to get the jewels outta the water busting mallards and woodies as they dropped in our hole.
