seems like it is getting harder to find down here...last couple of times i've been to buster's in memphis, they've been out and didn't know when it would be in (other than the standard "probably be next month").

has anybody in 'bama seen it, yet? a couple of years ago, the guy at vulcan said that it was a hold up on dogfish's end for distribution, abc has already approved it. then again, i'm hearing that most craft breweries are at capacity for local distribution and interstate distribution is 2nd fiddle when they're making all they can make and the local folk buy the majority of it.

bigbee', your brother still getting it pretty readily up in jxsn (tn)?

Dogfish pulled out of TN. Lots of craft breweries are directing their resources to better cover their home region due to high demand. I was very disappointed that they're not in TN anymore, to say the least. My wife's uncle lives 15 minutes from the brewery. He brought me 2 cases last time he came.

The closest place for us to get it is probably Destin, FL. You can check their website for distribution. We'll be in Destin 4th of July, I'm already planning a stop at Chan's Wine World.

You can readily find Dogfish in most areas of Alabama, including Orange Beach.

Strange, their website does not list AL as a state they distribute in:

http://www.dogfish.com/company/distribu ... salers.htm

And this is from their website as well:

STAY HOME, then...!

If you were a McCoy, my Hatfield booty would cut you for such as this!!

The gourmet bottle bill is for 22 oz plus bottles to be sold in Alabama, which were previously not allowed. Now the larger bottles that some craft breweries exclusively use are available to be sold in Bama. Cheers!

There is a liquor store in the Winn Dixie shopping center that has a good selection. Also, the Publix beer aisle is pretty respectable.

The "gourmet bottle law" ALLOWS those bottles to be sold. It does not mandate that every company that sells a product in that size container will start selling in AL. Most of Dogfish's lineup is sold in 12 oz bottles (in 4 or 6 packs).

Not being able to sell bombers of beer has nothing to do with why Dogfish isn't available in AL. I'd think a statement from one of their employees saying they have no immediate plans to start selling in AL would settle the issue.

This reminds me of people here in MS who think that on July 1st they'll be able to get Yuengling. Yuengling is already legal in MS, but the company only wants to sell in the states they currently distribute in.

along with the notion that coors light, butt light/butt, lite, pbr, ect, will be stronger that what is available now. i've hashed, over-hashed, and re-hashed the subject many time and time, again...and still have people say that they cain't wait for when the above mentioned will take less to "git'chu messed up, boy, betta whachitt!!!! (until, of course, the threshhold is rebolstered)
