Google says elev. at intersection is about 105....most of EB road is between 95 to 105, so I would say it's pretty much going under within a few days....jmho.

Thursday/Friday I took a business trip to St. Louis with a stop in Memphis. From the air, water was everywhere. In areas you can't even tell where the main channel is.
I've been following this thread for a couple weeks, keeping up with the estimated numbers. Seeing what's still to roll down the river put it in a whole new perspective.
Side question, do you think there will be widespread folks staying put and being stranded (like Katrina)? I just can't imagine rescue teams being able to cover all that area.

My sheriff is telling folks to move now, cause if they get stranded they're on their own.

News in Memphis is saying levee breech in yazoo county. Haven't confirmed yet. Heck Memphis can't get anything right yet.river crest at 48 next Tuesday but it 47.8 now and going up a foot a day! Hmmmm.
I think they are holding alot back from Memphis and then south. They don't wanna start something bad till they have to.

MEMA has received several inquiries regarding a potential breech of the levee system in Yazoo County; however, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has confirmed that there is NO levee breech

No need to let facts stop a good run of panic.

Go to MDOT website for projected road closure dates. It's a moving target but we are trying to get it accurate as possible.

Just trying to see if it's fact or not but heard levee over by buck chute is seeping. Supposedly 650 loads of sand were hauled in Friday and more yesterday. Heard this from buddies that have places on eagle and said dump trucks were running the levee nonstop. Might not be a leak, rather just adding more to levee. Just wondering if anyone in the know knew anything about a leak. Not trying to cause panic, just looking for An answer

They showed on the local news (so take it for what its worth), that if the river crests at 48' in Memphis, there will be 3100 homes effected. Thats a great deal of folks in just one county.............. Ya'll stay safe out there!
