Comfort Inn on Barone. I stayed last month for a couple of days, 89.00 a night + 15 parking. You don't have to park with hotel, but I advise doing so. Nice place for the price. 3 block from bourbon

The Marriott was too pricey for what they offered. I felt nickel-and-dimed at every turn - from the expensive wireless internet to the 35 daily parking fee to the no continental breakfast and having to tip every worker a buck or two for 30 seconds worth of work. I like the medium-priced hotels that still offer service.

I spent New Year's at the W New Orleans and am happy that I selected this hotel. The location is great with Harrah's across the street, only a few blocks to the Riverwalk, and just a short walk to the French Quarter. The hotel itself is nicely decorated with a beautiful lobby, bar, and pool area (it was too cold...

Courtyard on the corner of St Charles and Canal was $89 the weekend before Thanksgiving. Decent enough and close to everything. Parking was addiitonal $30 I think.
