Wife and I spent our honeymoon in Canmore, right next to Banff...that was in august, lots of big elk and big horn sheep roaming around up there...great pics...

in the winter lake louise is forzen solid and you can walk out on it...

I grew up in Calgary. I lived there until I was 10. We used to go to Canmore a good bit. Only thing that sucked was that my parents were big into cross country skiing as opposed to downhill skiing. So I didn't get to ski downhill as much as I would have liked. You are right about Lake Louise in the winter is very nice. Almost as nice as it is when it's not frozen.

Yeah seriously! When we got off the plane back in Memphis, she said: "Ahhhh, humidity!" (she didn't like the 50 degree weather we were in up there) Then I go: "Arrrgg!!! HUMIDITY! (I, on the other hand, was loving the cool weather we had in Canada)

When I went to Calgary for work a couple months back it was NICE to have cold air and see snow on the ground. I remember stepping off the plane from Denver in Houston and saying to myself, "I want the cold air again". Then I went to WY a couple week after and got a taste of cold and snow again.

Looks like yall had a blast and congrats on the marriage.
