Sorry Gilreath, he wasn't defending his business. He was defending his inability as a business owner to properly run his business ina matter that is pleasing to his customer and his supplier. Both of which help make him a living.
If he were sincerely a good business man, he would have approached it from the standpoint.. "hey man, I'm sorry you feel you were slighted. COme on in, let's sit down determine what my business did wrong and right it" That way when his supplier comes down on him, he could reply with "The customer and I have came to an agreement and I have made everything right" Instead, he has to tell them "I threw that dude off my property and threatened to whip his booty" real good business move!

just sounds to me like Freddy might whoop that arss if you come up there hastlin' him some more.
Look....i hate that you feel like you got shafted, hell, i've been shafted, too..
But your $713.00, and your bike, are not how you make your living.
However, his business is all that he has; and he is defending it. HE personally did not work on your wheeler. Though HE is responsible for his shops' poor customer service, leave it be. Learn from it, and go somewhere else. I'm sure he has learned his lesson (you made your point). Take it as a mistake, and try to get your wheeler fixed somewhere else next time.
So we should not stand up for what is right? All I want is to spread the word about Freddy Monsour and Jackson Motor Sports and then let everyone decide who they do business with. If I can save someone from going through what I did, then I will. I have no need to go back up there but I am not going to stop hasslin him. You would think if that business is all he has he would take care of it and see that it is successful rather than giving customers the shaft. I dont know if Freddy will ever learn his lesson. I am not the first person this has happened to. I have talked with several people that all have had similar issues with him. Now people that have read what I have to say can make their own decision about who they do business with. I just want them to have the facts first. He stood over my tail gate with his mechanic and they never denied hammering the part that had to be replaced. They just tried to squirm their way out and now he is in a corner with me and I am going to be relentless in my efforts to see that Freddy knows just how wrong he is.

Gilreath,
I know you, and know "of" Freddy through people and I am not trying to choose sides but when I had my motorcycle I went up there for the part number to a battery so that I could get one that fits. He told me I should buy the Suzuki branded battery because it was made to go in the bike and would "last longer because it was made for the bike"(not to mention that he wanted about $100 for a battery). I laughed in his face and left. Probably would have bought it if he would not have said that dumb booty statement. I might have been born at night, but not last night.
Do I need to nut up and print this off and give it to him so he will know what the public opinion of his operation is. Yall can meet up at my office up the road and square off in the parking lot and go at.

MOst likely he has NOT learned his lesson if he is gonna screw somebody and then threaten them while spitting at them. Freddie musta been a big boy, cause it seems you shoulda DEALT with it when he was backing you off his property. maybe take about $712 out of HIS booty. leave him some change, just for all his "time" he spent on your bike.

hope your bike was not one of the ones that I saw sitting outside that shop with the heads pulled off of them sitting in the rain for i know at least 3 weeks waiting for warranty work. Heard more horror stories than I can count about that place. I beg to differ with you Gilreath, that is not the way to do business and if that is the way he wants to conduct his business he deserves all the complaints and if these posts keep someone else from getting ripped off at his shop then I say good.

That is the way most people who end up on the defensive side of issues like this get there - too many people have let someone (usually close to the business in question) talk them into "letting it be" or sweeping it under the rug and not standing up when it is right. I agree, he's pissed because he is being called out on his business ethics, which from the sound of it (number of people un-satisfied with his customer service) is deserved. If he wants to just SELL bikes and not service them, then close the service dept. and just SELL bikes. Otherwise, put the effort forth for the people keeping him IN business.

I own a business and stuff happens. If you are going to be in business you need to be prepared to kiss a little booty. Sometimes when there is a screw up I will tell the customer pay for the parts and I will cover the labor. He could have worked something out. Best advertising is word of mouth and he is getting a load of it.
