I wonder how well the option will work in the SEC. Meyer is dead set on using it this year.

You really think a no compete clause will hold up in court? Not to mention, money talks....
Webbmaster...no one knows this better than bama....
Tn and Fla
are in the College World Series in Omaha.....
Where's bama? like you said "who"

Webbie, castin' a wide net there aren't ya
As for question #3, with VanGorder gone to the NFL...I'm not sure...as for Donnan's recruits...well, the man nabbed a good QB and a couple of recievers, but couldn't recruit a RB or offensive line towards the end...this will be a good year in Athens. Actually the answers to questions 4 and 6 answer question 3....'course we do have a pretty good stable of RB's now so it could be our year to play in Atlanta again....
Spurrier will have some success, kinda like in the NFL, and he'll go bowling but USC is a project it'll take a little time (at least halfway through the season).... It will be interesting to see how he handles not being at the top anymore....
As for Meyer...the option works, only if you're Nebraska...then again maybe he's putting that in just for Spurrier since he did so well against Nebraska in the Sugar bowl

Scary thing is in the SEC your QB will take a pounding runnin' the option...I hate it for Leake if he's serious about it...course he could just be playin' cards
Teams to beat this year...UTay (if the team stays out of handcuffs long enough to play)...and well errr...I'm gonna have to go with.................LSU...simply because they have the best athelete's...and Jimbo Fisher is still there (adding some coherence)...
Either way it'll be fun...still think UGA may sneak one in like UT did the year after Payton left (gettin' old can't remember what year that was)...but then again I bleed red & black...so I'm entitled....

GG is right on with this....
UT and the Dawgs should be fighting for the top of the east with Fla right behind.
As for the west, I also think LSU will rule the roost with Bama pushing them. But that being said Auburn could ruin it for a bunch of folks.
I know the handcuffs remark is a joke but the SEC as a whole has had way to many headlines like that. The coaches have to get control of their teams.

nomsduckhunter, yeah we in the south have our problems...but most of the coaches have done the right thing lately...kick the troublemakers off the team....
Bad thing though is it creates a distraction and can cause a lack of focus...the good news is with the exception of USC and Auburn none of the current coaches will put up with too much crap...I did hear that Coach "O" is instituting a 3 head butts your out rule at Ole Miss, so I'm hopeful about his prospects
I do joke about Fulmer a bit, but keep in mind it is joking...Phil is a great guy, I still remember him from the early 80's when my uncle was coaching with him at UT...he became a good friend to my uncle and has been since...in all honesty there are a lot of great men coaching in the SEC (Spurrier excluded

) and I've been priveledged enough to know a few...fortunately the real jerks (Mack Brown

) are not in our conference right now....
