- What Was The Greatest Duck Hunt You Had And Why: It would be the very first duck hunt I ever went on. I was nine years old. I went with my Dad and we hunted on a slough right off the Big Black River. I plugged my barrel twice with mud. I could not for the life of me understand why my Dad wouldn’t let me shoot meganzers. My only kill for the day was a crippled wood duck. I have been hooked ever since.
