Guys, I tried to search for info on different mud motors and didn't really get any comparisons. What would you recommend and why? I have a couple of duck rigs with outboards and want to go to a mud motor for early season gunk. The only thing that I can tell the difference in them is the Moly frame on the mud-buddy seems superior to the go-devil or beavertail. I'll likely go with a 13HP Honda. I would love to hear your pros and cons on the different brands...Thanks....Kim

All three models are available with the same engines. The difference is in the manufacturing. The mudbuddy uses more machined parts where as the other two use more "welded" parts. The new mud buddies have the strongest frames.
Check you PM and call me if you are intrested.

I have a mud buddy with a 13 Hp Honda and I think it's great. I looked at the godevil and think the frame of the mudbuddy is superior. Also think that the mudbuddy has a better bearing system. Hope this helps. Feel free to contact me if there's anything I might be able to do to help.

I had a 16hp mudbuddy and was very happy with it. I can't comment on other 2 manufacturers cause I've never owned them, but my friends who have go-devils are quite happy with theirs too.

Have the 20hp beavertail. love it. In 3 years no problems. Just check the lower bearing and grease it once a year.
