It ain't the coach's fault. It's all because they don't have Col. Rebel on the sidelines! Just thought I'd stir the pot a bit...it's been a slow day. Just funnin'

Just be glad Ole Miss doesn't have Wingnut (Tuberville) anymore. I am a Bama fan, but that guy is a disgrace to our state. Vandy will beat Auburn this weekend.

Last time I checked Ole Miss was 1-0 in the SEC. They still have a
chance to win the west. I know they looked terrible against Memphis
but stranger things have happened.
The Jenny Jones show was having a topic on People who have slept
with ghost. When Jenny Jones asked if anyone in the audience had
slept with a ghost, a guy in a Mississippi State sweatshirt raises his
hand. When he gets up to the stage, she ask, so you have slept
with a ghost? Hell no, I thought you said a goat.

I'm not a Ole Miss / Cutcliffe fan by any strecth, I'm actually a University of Memphis alum and fan, but to start a website to fire Cutcliffe is going overboard don't you think?
The guy has won 3 of his last four games, including a win over Ms. State, Nebraska, and Vandy, which makes Ole Miss 1-0 in the Sec this year and in first palce in the west. Not bad, uh?
Just maybe by the end of the year the Memphis lost might not look that bad, especially if (and as a Memphis fan I have the right to say that is a BIG IF) Memphis finally lives up to their expectations.
I can see it now in 4 weeks when Memphis beats Ms. State, they'll be creating a FireSherrill.com website.

They want to fire him because they have the best QB in the history of the school and have never finished over .500 in the SEC since the SEC split into divisions. If they can do no better than less than .500 in the SEC with Eli QB, WHAT WILL they do when he is gone next year? I believe that is the biggest fear of most Mississippi fans. Cutcliffe has ridden Eli for 4 yrs and he's had Archie's support. We'll have to see what sort of coach Cutcliffe really is once those two "umbrellas" are gone in 2004.
In my opinion, Mississippi will be a much better team once Eli is gone. Once the administration and coaches at UM realize that it takes a TEAM to win games then they will be successful. The biggest problem they've had in Oxford is thinking (believing) that Championships are won by a single individual.

Scott....I understand their concern, most folks look at the Ole Miss situation as you explained, they have the best QB they have had in years and still haven't won the SEC west or SEC championship.
They have however been to a bowl every year since '97, with the exception of '01, when they should have been invited to one. Not exactly a total disaster. Maybe the REB fans shouln't set too high a standard and realize they are a run of the mill SEC team, their facilities have been lagging for a number of years but they are making huge strides in that area. As you said without Eli things might actually improve and they will have a more balanced team.

i think that cutcliffe is one hell of a offensive cord. and has done a good job but if he was step down one level and ole miss find a head coach then they may 1 day be something like tenn. once was

Neither Ole Miss or State need to think they will ever win the SEC or the Nat. Championship from here on. College football has evolved very similar to retail stores, Walmart has emerged as the giant and will kick Fred's butt every year forever! The mom and pop stores are just out manned.
Just like I drive by the locally owned businesses to get to Walmart, so the TALENTED athletes, as a rule, go to Bama, FSU, UT, Miami, etc
The NCAA needs to take a hint from NASCAR and level the playing field w/ spending caps. This will bring parity to the sport. TV ratings will soar even higher...

No, I didn't go to the home of the fighting okra, but my wife did.
I am not very good with jokes and it is the only one I can remember.
I went to The University of Mississippi.
Where the heck is Prentiss Bar. Is that close to Shabuta?
