It turns into a shouting match and finally someone (Oreilly) calls out those to blame for financial melt down.

problem is, only republican voters will see this and probably are the only ones that know this. Fact is, McCain/Palin need to start getting this message out. How many people on this board have said "It is Bush's fault"? I think he is to blame for a lot, but the obamanites are more to blame. Yet, McCain/Palin let NObama/LIEden go out and blame everything on Bush administration and republicans.

I was waiting for Palin to tell Biden that the DEMS started this housing fiasco. Old Slick Willy started the sub-prime lending and predator lending.

Look i don't care who started it. It could have started with LBJ or Carter or Clinton. The fact is the defaults and abuses only started in the last two years. If Clinton Started it that was 8 to 12 years ago. People have been paying for at least 8 years if it was Clinton with no alarming problem. In the past few years the greed from developers, builders, mortgage companies, banks, etc all got into the fray. My opinion is that it started going down hill when Greenspan started talking about over priced homes and pockets of areas where real estate values would decline. Sub prime lending was intended for starter families and low income families to have a means of having home ownership. A family of four living of $50,000 could be able to afford a home of $80,000. The crooks saw the loopholes and applied them to $500,000 and up homes not necessarily to low income families but people in Las Vegas and Calif buying more than they could afford banking on real estate continuing to increase in value. The original concept wasn't that bad.

Until that, the clip with him bashing Phil Donahue was the best. But that was by far the best one yet. He gets REAL pissed off if you try to deny something you said!

He (Frank) reminds me of the police chief that gets caught with the hooker on Ruthless People!

This is some very interesting information. In this video it states that Clinton made some changes in 1995 to Jimmy Carters Community Reinvestment act. These changes allowed for subprime lending and even FINED banks if they did not give out enough subprime loans. Fanny Mae made more money for more loans, and was supposed to guaranty these loans for the banks (such as Bear Stearns). It also states, In 2003 Bush tried to form a new agency to oversee Fannie (see link)

but the dems shot it down. Mcain warned of the mortgage crisis in 2005 but know one listened either. Sounds like this whole situation could have been prevented.
I was not and am not for the bail out, but hell I'm no economist.
If you want to know more details check out the video.
