What do yall think would be a good topic to write on for a history paper. This is for World Civ 2. That covers from about the time the colonists settle our great country through the cold war. Any ideas. I can write a paper I just can never pick a topic.

I did a history report on Pearl Harbor back in high school. You'd be surprised to find out how much we really knew before the attacks. Was it really a surprise or was it a convenient scape goat for us to get involved in WWII? If you're a conspiracy theorist, this is a good one.

The treaty of Dancing Rabbit, with you being in Philadelphia the reservation should have some good resources on the topic. A good tie in to local history.

There are pretty interesting dealings during that period of time.

The book Bloody Kemper talks alittle about the topic when it talks about some of the clans around Dekalb. Granted that book may not be the best recourses though there are a good many inaccuracies in the book.

What about the commercialization of hunting and how it affected the game animals around the US (Buffalo, Elk, etc.). You could talk about weapons used, amount of game from then until now. How hunters became the first conservationists. Hell, I want to write a paper on it

I once did a paper titled Holding the black man down, it was for comp II and i had a black teacher. I got a C on the paper... It was based on black people hold themselves down, and other crap(basically showing just how stupid they could be).

The Great Depression, and you can also add some stuff about that one that happened in 1929.
