Cant help you on Sunflower....but for some reason Mahanna did not put water on the "santuary" that should be holding 20,000 ducks this time of year..>>>>>>dont know...>>>

Rode by Mahannah's sanctuary yesterday. Saw maybe 200 ducks. No water.

well, I guess it's not surprising after seeing the duck report put out by mdwfp. Seems all the ducks in MS are in NE delta. Malmaison should be sitting in the middle. Anyway, please post if you hear of anything good in the south delta!

No ducks at Mahannah, I don't care it's my vacation and I'm going to give those spoonies and dos gris hell! My daughter bought me a 4 wheeler for Xmas, I built me a cane blind, I got 3 bags of dekes--widgeons, pintails, teals, redheads, woodies, and spoonies. Of course a bunch of mallards. I've got two torpedos to cut donuts in the spread and a floating widgeon spinner. I'm going to be so loaded Duke's not going to be able to ride! Probably just watch the sun rise--wait it's supposed to rain. I don't care-I'm going! Maybe, some ducks flying back north. I've got a kicker though. I've got 4 enticers eating "loose corn" and a whole bag of "corn" decoys! Its going to be a 3 ring circus! I figure it's pretty safe to divulge this info, I'll probably be the only fool there!

Don't look for ducks on Malmasion, they are not there. Leflore county is almost devoid of ducks, the word is that they are further north , in Tallahachie county.

no ducks at Malmaison, that's suprising to hear, the report was saying there are more ducks in MS now than all of last year. I guess they are just pack in certain places only and not spread.

Denduke, don't blame you man go and give em hell that's what I would do. New four wheeler, same here what did ya get. Also, I've never hunted mahannah how long of a 4 wheeler ride is it in there and are the trails a mess? Well I know I'm probably alone in this thinking but even if you don't kill any ducks a nice long 4 wheeler ride through the mud makes it worth while. Anyway, a bad day hunting is better than a good day at work.

You might think there are ducks on Malmo, but it is dead. I do mean fawn vs. 80mph eighteen wheeler dead.

Hunted Sunflower this past Saturday and saw some birds. No big numbers. Tons of woodies were swimming all over. Only shot once though. Probably a total of 18 greenheads that I saw and maybe more in the early morning or they might have been teal, not sure, they went by too fast. Hopefully it will pick up soon.
