What choke tube, shot size and manufacturer has worked best for your Nova? (worked best = best pattern=dead ducks)

I use a Comp-N-Choke improved cylinder which holds a great, consistent pattern up to about 40-45 yds. My son also has a Nova and he has switched from the factory tube to a Comp-N-Choke after much test firing. We find that the new 3.5 inch #2 FastSteel @1550 pfs is very deadly on big ducks. We use B&P 3 inch #4s for woodies while in the swamps of our native north Florida. You can't kill one any deader than most of ours fall with any kind of other super-duper, more expensive shell.

I have had good luck with the factory chokes, just recently purchased a Buck Garner choke but have not tried it yet. I will let you know how it shoots soon.

T-Bone,

It ain't the gun nor the ammo, it is the operator. You should know that by know. Hell you can't hit the side of a barn.

I shoot my improved modified factory choke and I have had best luck with winchester 3" #2. but like it was said above it is the shooter that counts more than the gun and that is where my problem is.

I have really enjoyed my Nova. "The Italian Stallion" hasn't failed on me yet, N jams and easy to clean.
