I hunt off hwy 32 between Charleston and Webb.

I was told that the Webb courthouse would have these photos.

Anyone know of any good websites/companies that sell photos. I am assuming you would have to know the coordinates of the area.

Any help is much appreciated.

Any type of photos will do. Alot of the "free" photos you can get of certain websites aren't too elaborate. Just basic.

http://www.terraserver.com. Or you can get sat. photos/infareds from the imaging center at Stennis Space Center in Bay St. Louis. They are not cheap.

The best hardcopy photos you can get are available from MDOT office in Jackson. You can go to the map sales office, show them the location, select a size image, and they'll send it to you (not too expensive). A free route is to go to your county soil conservation service/Farm Service Agency office. They have current aerials of the entire county - however, you can only look and make copies. Another good computer source is the State GIS at http://maris.state.ms.us. Look for the DOQQ files (digital orthographic quarter quads). That oughtta do it. JB

go to google.com and type in "satellite photos" and a link should appear that says "terraserver from msn." You can type in the city name and move left, right, up, down, etc. and zoom in. I found my house and land on there and zoomed in on it. Pretty nifty. Let me know how it turns out! Congrats on the big win the last 2 weekends! Ya'll take it easy on us on the 9th.

I work for the Natural Resource Conservatoin Service here in TN and we have aerial photos of the whole county. I imagine you can go to your county USDA office and ask the District Conservationist for an aerial photo. They may also have a computer program called Arcview which has aerial maps that you can draw lines, measure acreage, and also has a topo that will show up if needed. Hope this helps.

you can go to http://www.topozone.com and you can scroll around and find topo maps for anywhere ,You can zoom in or out on a location or move your cursor on to any location and it will give you the G.P.S coordinates. It is a very good site

terraserver.microsoft.com has aerial photos you can zoom in on but doesnt have GPS coordinates, just gotta find landmarks and know what youre looking at

webmaster if you want one of those big photos where you can see everything in pretty good detail do what GC said and give stennis space center a call. I think they run about $100 a map.

Or . . . go to a nearby small airport and hire a pilot and plane for an hour and shoot the photos yourself! It ain't that complicated and seeing your duckhole from the air may provide you with far more insight than a terraserver photo shot . . . some time ago. Time it and make the trip when the water is there, and I'd suggest another trip when your buds are hunting. Much to be learned from a duck's eye perspective ref concealment, decoy placement, mud trails, etc.

If you fly over the marsh during hunting season, you will be amazed at the big white face blobs you can see from the air!!!!

Here's what I did. I went to the Grenada county court house, looked up the land that I hunt on the big maps in the tax accessors office or in the file room of records. Got the number of the maps I wanted and had them make me a copy right there. They have the original films and can reproduce for you. They are the size of standard big blueprint and only cost $ 3.00. You can't beat it. Be careful and don't get it wet because the blueprint ink will run. You can spread these things out and find places you never knew that existed. Saves a lot of walking. Good Luck.

Yes, you can get a photo with property lines at the court house. Go to the second floor and they will make one for you at a min. charge.
