coldwater area

one of my freinds wants me to go to a place called askew (sp) with him. he told me there is alot of water, and alot of hunters. just wondering if it was worth the drive up there. i know im fixing to get burnt on this one so light away!

I have not hunted Askew in about 5 years. Had a couple of good hunts there, but it is really not worth it. you just about have to get there at mid-night, to fight the crowd. Plus, you have got to walk ( no four- wheelers).

I walked some of it last week (on a Wednesday I think). There is very little water.
I saw no ducks.

I was there this week, and they have everything gated off. There are rice fields near there, and I saw -0- ducks. One good group of geese on private land. The brother's were running some rabbits though !

thanks for the input yall. guess he was full of it about the water. dont think i will make that trip then.
