They are back. I had a scout show up last week, now I have about 10 to 12 martins hanging around. I really enjoy watching these bird and am thinking about putting up a couple more house to go with the two I already have.

I saw some at Moon Lake on Monday and remembered my martin house was retracted. I went home and put it up. Just heard some martins out there a few minutes ago.
F&W man, from what I've read, brand new martin houses will be settled by young martins looking for a house for the first time. My house was new last year and they didn't show up until late April. Give them some time; they'll find it.

Working. Got a call about a pontoon boat adrift in the lake.
Actually, I was thinking of blowing the levee and re-enacting the Yankee floatilla run down the Yazoo Pass.

Lets' not go blowin' no hole in the pass just yet. If the water makes its way back up to my back porch, then feel free
Hope that pontoon floatin' wasn't mine.
I gonna catch up with you one of these days
