If that really happened... (I don't know). I would find it hard to believe that a manager/ caretaker of such a cherry property (York) which has deer running around like a bunch of rabbits, would shoot a deer on someone else's property.

I was wrong, he was not a caretaker he just worked at York woods. I Checked with those involved in the catching and prosecuting. It was very fine 9 point he poached too.
There will be a day....

and outlaws... along side some of the most wealthy men I've ever seen.
Kind of a smorgasbord really.
Hence the 'Free State of Tallahatchie" bumper stickers on a lot of local muddy bumpers.

Some of the biggest deer that I have ever seen come out of the York Woods.

If i had 200 laying around id join merigold hunting club... there asking 250K per membership. Deer is possibly the best in the state, with a few good duckholes.

Mac is still around North MS mostly in the hills. That was a great gig he had. The only thing he can do now is fish. I believe he can hunt again in about 2 years.

I've known Big Mac for several years. Went with him on one of the best timber hunts of my life last week in North MS. He manages several duck clubs in Missouri, Arkansas, and Mississippi including the old Beartail Outfitters in Colwater, MS (I think). He's got a rough life, he guides duck and goose hunts all fall and winter and runs a charter boat in the spring and summer. I've heard him talk about York Woods. He said that most of the crazy stuff you hear about kennedy is BS. Said Kennedy is a great guy and a real good duck hunter, but the people that work for him and some of his friends are just idiots and thats where most of the bad things you here about kennedy come from.

I know the skidder thing to be 100 percent true. Imagine, acres and acres of overgrown timber with scrub brush cleared into beautifully thinned, perfectly huntable timber, purely for the heck of it...

Ditto there Rod.
I didn't get a chance to bump into him when I was in town.
Is he still running Barry's outfit?

He can pay more than Bama. Saban will lie to you, anyway.
