Guys, It's plumb embarassing to be a student in Starkville right now.
You know something some guys I work with and me were discussing at lunch the other day? Think about this.......
Mississippi State has a good track team. How many people to show up and watch? 50? 100? Tennis? 35? Golf? 5? Soccer? 500? Then we have baseball and basketball. We're good in both of those. Average crowds: $8,000 - 10,000. Football, on the other hand, is our WORST sport of all the last three years and those faithful 50,000 people are still showing up. What's wrong with this picture?
I hope we do something productive with our football program before it goes so far down the drain that it'll take 10 years to ever recruit anyone or do anything worth a flip.
