Wasn't meant to be a rumor. I had a friend with two of his best customers who got bumpt to make room for the Mannings. Archie, Peyton, @ Eli hunt the last week of the season every year @ Fighting Bayou with Billy Van Devender(VD). Billy played with Archie @ Ole Miss. He also put the deal together to buy Fighting Bayou for its present membership. Billy also owns 20,000 to 50,000 acres north of Vicksburg, I assume where Peyton was spotted. How would you like to hunt in the same blind with those kids. @ 6'5" I will ring their ears everytime, if I can see over them ! ! So my original question. Was Peyton looking past the game in anticipation of the duckhunt?? Wondering if Archie had those yellow ear phones on?

Bankermain you are right on the money! I had a friend take me by The Fighting Bayou Clubhouse and give me a tour. What a nice place. There were many photos and pictures on the walls including a signed 8 x 10 of Peyton throwing a pass in his Colt's uniform. I understand the mannings are regulars when they have the time. Fighting Bayou is only a very miles from Drew, Ms Archie's hometown.

I doubt Payton lost on purpose to hunt. Something to the dome team thing! If he had won, I am sure Archie and Eli would have talked Son #1 Cooper into going! Hell, he might have been there anyway, but who mentions the guy when they speak of the rest? Cooper is a class act. Payton took the #18 after Cooper was diaganosed with the congential spinal defect and was told to no longer play by the med. profesionals in honor of his big brother. Nice bunch of folks all around. Would have loved to have been at Chotard to buy Payton a beer and talk New Orleans memories.(raised there myself)
