Man, we really take so much for granted. We never stop to think that the routine things we do every day can take an unexpected turn and wind up being life changing. Be thankful every minute of every day, guys!

BigBear, I will surely be remembering Gary and his family in my prayers. When he is able to understand be sure to tell him about this group of guys that he has supporting him and cheering for his full recovery!

Pray for a miracle, bud. I watched my dad go from dead to very much alive in one day...when the doctors had given up. Sometimes it takes a seemingly impossible situation for us to realize that God can do the impossible.

This is the update as of last night. Gary is doing wonderfully. Wednesday night the nurses rushed out to get his wife. When she got back there they told her to say his name and ask him to move his right arm. She did and he did. He can raise both arms, both thumbs and was breathing on his own the last I heard. I have not had a chance to check on him today, but I plan to go up to see him at 1pm. I will let ya'll know what I find out. He will know of all of your prayers and well wishes when he is responding. Thanks for all of your kind words, support and prayers. It has truly made a difference. :!:

Thanks for the update on you bud. It is always wonderful to witness the power of prayer. Especially prayer in mass!

Continue to be in prayer, guys, and remember to give thanks and praise for each step forward!

I got to sneak back into the ICU with my badge and talked with Gary's nurse and got to visit with Gary a little. He is completely of the Vent! His vital signs are great. He can move all 4 extremities on command. He is still very weak and moving slowly, but that is great improvement seeing that they thought he wouldn't make it 12 days ago. If he does well tonight, he will go to a regular room tomorrow. He still is not talking or anything like that, but we are all very pleased with his progress the last few days. If ever you questioned the power of prayer STOP QUESTIONING!!!!!

BigBear,

Glad to hear that your buddy is doing much better. Believe in the power of prayer, I have an Aunt that had a stroke, I asked for prayers on this board shortly after the stroke happened, the doctors thought that she would not ever go home again, well thanks to everyone on this board, she is back at home and able to walk again and eat solid food. She did loose movement of her left arm, but it could have been MUCH worse. The people on the board are great when it comes to taking care of others. Keep us posted.

I went up to see Gary today. He was moved to a regular room Saturday and is doing great. Physical therapy had him sitting up on the side of the bed today doing leg extensions. He has been waving to people that he recognizes and smiling and answering questions. He will be moved to Methodist Rehab sometime this week. I should know more about the raffle this evening.

I will keep ya'll informed, ya'll keep the prayers coming, they are definately working.

Michael
