Every Polaris dealer should service Polaris products, whether they bought it or not. Maybe he got a good deal in Alabama. I would drive to get a deal too, but I will take it locally to get it serviced. He shouldn't have to drive to where he bought it just to get it looked at.
Yes, he can blame the guy for not looking at it. If he says he's going to look at it, he should look at it... not lie about it. No matter where it is or who it is, that's bad business. If you say you're gonna do something, you should do it... no matter what business you are in.
Exactly! I wish i could take it to Shoals outdoor Sports in Tuscumbia to get serviced everytime I needed it so they could make the money and big markup on parts and service. They are the "real" losers in this deal because they don't get the big money off parts and service.

This sounds like the reverse of buying insurance.
You buy it from a rep you have a problem and the rep tells ya to take it to the 1800 number cause He cant help He only sells insurance.

That pretty much sums it up!!! Not to mention letting people test ride HIS machine. I would imagine that with proof, there could be some pretty serious repurcussions over that

For the first time in a long time I totally agree with Sprty... the bottom line is this, if you have a dealership you have responsibilities to support and uphold the marketing and product reputation that is delivered through your business ... it is not your choice as a service/retail establishment to pick and choose who you will provide service too. If in fact this happened the way you said it did, I would write a letter to the owner of Chick. and seek no more than an acknowledgement and appology for the poor shoddy service, not too mention the outright abuse!! If you do not get a satisfactory repsonse, I would bring their dealership into question with Polaris. They will take these complaints seriously. The bottom line is they make the money on the backend of the business just like they do at a car lot.... if they are too stupid too realize this, then someone with more sense and need of opportunity should have the dealership !!!!

Dogzeye, well said. I also want to clerify that I am not here saying these things without action. The manager has been informed, and I believe you have the right idea to right a letter to the ownership, so they can be informed also. If they don't know what is going on, they can't fix it. They need to know what happened, just like I felt you guys would appreciate being educated about my situation, with "0" embelishment. Everything I said is 100% accurate and I even waited several days to start this post so I wouldn't say something to embarras myself and MSDUCKS.
