I think I'm warming up to the dynamite idea ---duck hole going to schit? overrun with bad weeds, invasive plants, etc. ? just dynamite it to hell and see what happens

If it is a watershed as was built by Towncreek there was only an easement to a certian elevation obtained from each owner. I don't think they are public lakes, unless like Elvis Presley Lake (which was built as a watershed) the property was obtained by a public entity such as the State, County or City.
I have hunted on several water sheds and have gotten premission to enter and hunt from one or more property owners. Then using tax maps and aerial photographs tried my best to stay on that owners property. Usually the owners who are disagreeable have been taken advantage of. And some like the guy you mention just don't want anyone on there land.

Your not getting it. The land we were on to access the lake is county property. The old man admitted that to us. We talked to several people who live on the lake and they said that the lake was public, and anyone could be on it. They also said that the only trouble was gettin access to the land to put the boat in. Not a problem there as we were on county property.

Are you sure it is county owned. Is it in Lee County or Pontotoc. I'm a land surveyor so I have the resources in my office to check if you are not 100% sure. That is if its in Lee County.

I used to live at Chesterville, and know that the Lee S.O. has been called out for trespassing there may a time. Don't know what the outcome was, but they were called all the same. I will check with my friends at the S.O. and see what they say. FYI some real good bass in that watershed, not that I have ever been there.
