Key word in your post Benny is 'Public' last time I checked that meant open to everyone. I have had way more posts than this, but my account was lost when the site got hacked. Anyway, if you want your own place to duck hunt, then man up and buy some land of your own. If not then let it go. It doesn't make sense to keep people from hunting. It furthers the cause.

I see a friendly post from someone asking to fall in on a hunt and then he gets land blasted...so be it as far as hunting goes but keep it above the belt when it comes to throwing out BS about someone's wife or significant other.

I let the comments about religion, etc. go in one ear and out the other these days because I am not entitled to determine what someone's beliefs should be....BUT...this is crude - plain and simple.

Someone Email me when we decide to talk about ducks again...I'll see you then.

BTW - peewee you are a sport - I want to synch up with you guys when bow season starts...I'll buy the beer at Chotard Landing....and no need to entertain me on a hunt. I have my own woods

Thanks Softcall. Maybe Beeny has had some bad experiences with out-
of-staters, but you cant blame a boy for trying to hunt were the birds are. I bet if Benny hunted in NC for 1 season he would probably sell all of his stuff. Hunting and seeing new places is alot of fun you ought to try it sometime.

What does a friendly post have to do with being friendly?
What is to say that this guy isn't trying to use somebody to find land that he can drag all his friends to next weekend and screw up your hunting?
What is to say that he wont lease your duckhole out from under you next year because you were nice enough to show it to him?

How the hell do you think people like that find places to do that to in the first place?

I hate it but by gawd its TRUE   WE ALL KNOW IT WOULD SUX IF IT HAPPENED TO ONE OF US AND WOULD BE KICKEN OUR SELVES IN THE booty!

Benny, you make it sound as if I live in MS or am moving down there to live. Just coming for 3 to 4 days to hunt. Not looking to lease land that I can hunt 3 to 4 days out of the year.

dch, you're NOT listening...

benny's ruff w/ this stuff b/c what he says, he's lived....i'd venture to guess we all have....

you talk about 3-4 days as if it's nothing, but, get in on a good hunt on public ground.....guess what, you're gonna tell your friends so they'll hit it on THEIR 3-4 DAYS.....and so on, and so on....

pretty soon, that 3-4 days is dam near an entire season....don't believe it happens, well, there's more than one WMA/NWR that you can't pull up to w/out seeing 90% of the cars there being OOS'rs....those places you won't find locals going too, as it's not worth the hastle to deal w/ dudes that don't know what a good hunt is, for the sake of a duck or two....LOCALS that have hunted those places for 20 years are forced out so some OOS'r can show up for 3-4 days......and go back to tell there bud's so there 3-4 days are jam-up...

i don't even take long time friends hunting at any of my spots due to just this.....take one, he takes 2, and soon enough, 10 folks are huggin trees and shooting mergansers - which make AWESOME live decoys if folks will just let em sit and eat the dam minnows....

only person i took last year on public ground was a dog training buddy of mine - skippyj....why? b/c he knows the score and he'd prolly take a bullet before anyone finds out where we went....

benny? yeah, he's cras and tuff to get along w/, but on issues like this, the old dude is FULL of logic.......IMHDAO anyways, gator

HAIL TO GREAT DUCKHUNTER "BENNY". I am sorry just because you have more ducks than we do in the carolinas by no means doesnt make you a better hunter. Matter of fact I probably no more about duck hunting than you do and definitely have been doing it longer. Like I said before if you lived in NC you probably wouldnt even hunt. You dont know what its like to hunt a local lake and maybe see 50 ducks. Its not all about killing but the fellowship of hunting with your friends. What you are talking about dealing with is people that have not had a lot of experience with duck hunting and probably half the time are locals. We deal with the same thing here with people skybusting and others shooting at ducks that maybe decoying to you but that just comes along with hunting. My suggestion is for you to lease or buy your own private land. That will be the only way to eliminate the problem.

I am a young un compared to most of y'all and I have to agree with Benny because i see the OOS tags at the ramp all of the time. Enough is enough.

And so sayeth the Benanator!
Just as aggrevating...The three jerk offs from Memphis that show up at daylight, after I been there for an hour and a half, and set up atleast 2 dozen dekes, and, a friggen spinner, 72 friggen yards from me and my 8 decoys...Boy they killed the heck outa them 3 spoonies, that one of the yahoos was calling bluewing teal till his buddys straightened em out, all the time a half dozen fatheads where looking for a place ta land.
Everybody has a story or two like this...
If somebody is gracious enough to invite ya to thier own place, by all means...GO!
If your coming to hunt public land with 4 of your fiends, and a case of steel...STAY HOME!
If your coming to stay in a hotel, and be intertained by one of our states fine outfitters...Y'ALL HAVE A GREAT TIME!
Y'all have a nice day!
