Name that dog

Postby Seymore » Mon Aug 09, 2004 10:36 am

Ya'll help me pick a name for my new 6 week old female black lab.
Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch. Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote. Benjamin Franklin.

Those who can do. Those who can't get on MSDUCKS and try to convince everyone they can.

Im the last person you need advice from. Meeka was short for Tameka, a chocolate name for a chocolate dog. Used greek mythology for my yellow - Zeus whose shield is thunder. Unfortunately, this dog from show stock is good for just looking at. Bwanna is the first part of my current dogs name. It means "Bossman" in Swahilli! I'm a Hemingway fan. His second name is "Sharkey", which is his call name. That is the county where where the duck camp is and, if things work out, he will spend his best days.

Or you could do like most folks and give him a black name like "blackie" or that and a combination of his parents name or kennel name. Then you would have a name everyone expects.

Seymore's Mississippi Belle

Then call her Belle or Missy

If you're a Van Morrison fan, call her Tupelo Honey.

How about "Dinky" or "Snots". These names were good enough for cousin Eddie.

Boy, the thought put into some of these names is encouraging.

Okay wise azzes, the official name has been picked by my mother who was a teacher at one time. The name is Pennata. Penny for short. Ya'll think on that one awhile and tell me what it means. I'll give you a hint. Anatidae and the lawyers can't play.

Kind of like Penny for a name. My first girl friend was named Penny and she was a real _itch.

Watch-it.....I resent being put in the same boat with 'lawyers'....especially if they're going to shoot ducks on the 'dip'.

GH22  has a dog named Dammit  .........(or at least that's all I've ever heard him call it). :?
