Duck Calls Question

Postby Cache » Fri Jan 08, 2010 2:12 am

I recieved a couple of ducks calls for Christmas. One I'm sure most of you are familiar with, but for me it was something totally new. I'm in Arkansas, and although I've been duck hunting for many years, I had never even heard of a Bays Wood Duck call. I certainly wasnt familier with a harp type call either. I'm really impressed with the sound and ease of using it. It is also a very nice looking call that is well made.

The other call appears to be hand made, and I'm told it was made in Georgia. It looks like a carved duck head with a checkered insert. The duck head has very intricate carvings that detail the feathers and bill. Inside the insert is hand written "B. Sidney - Dec. 19, 2009" Is anyone familiar with this call maker, and if so do you have a link to his website? I'll try and post up some photos if that will help.

Thanks.

That bays will turn a woodie like no other woodie call I have used.
I know you can't call wood ducks, but you can peak their curiosity and make em look if you get on them soon enough.
Looking for 2 duck calls from Dominic Serio of Greenwood (ones for Novacaine)
