Khayat, should have been booted. Hell I have no love for the UM. It does however make me mad about afew and I mean afew nut cases try to push their will on everyone else. I have a friend that is a Big Ole Miss wako, she agreed about the battle flag being remove and then about Col Reb. She said it will be better for the school in the long run. She is a nut case, but she is one of my ole ladies best friends.

Just what the university needs...to go from Col. Rebel to a skinhead! How long would it be before someone complained that the new mascot looked like a neo-nazi in a football uniform? Next thing you know, the animal rights groups will be after my beloved Bulldogs! Damn bunch of hot-dang, hippie-type, communist, pinko fags!

I am an Ole Miss Alum - class of 91 - mba 93 -- Both mascot choices suck!!! I'd rather not have a mascot at all and just retire Colonel Reb rather than have either one of the new ones.
I mean, he is an "Old Southern Gentleman", right? Just let him retire with some class, at least that way we can say that the Colonel is smokin' a cigar playing golf or sippin' on some bourbon in the duckblind. I think that is better than a cartoon character on steroids that nobody likes.
