Duck Butts

I'm trying to make some duck butts without a 12 volt battery. I can make the bildge pump work off a 6 volt lantern battery, but the flasher won't work that way. Anybody know of a flasher that will work off a 6 volt lantern battery? Something that will give an intermittant flow of juice to the bildge pump.

That 6V doesn't have the juice to turn that flasher on and off. I am going to make one using the directions on the 'Fuge without the flasher, seems to run longer without it. The new duck butts use 6V's, but they changed it up a good bit.

Where do I look at the fuge?

I was thinking any type of flasher would slow down the pull by half, but you think it will actually increase the drain?

My pump shoots a stream of water about one foot high on a 12 volt without a flasher. Maybe it'll shoot less water on a 6 volt. I got dogs that'll be working so I hate wires and jerk strings.

Think ya'll get the prize for the most toys, i'll stick with the old jerk string, see if ya'll can come up with a wire-less jerk string.

That's what we're talking about "scooter" wireless and ropeless so dogs and boats can go and come as they please. In other words simpler and easier to put out than using a rope, bungee, and tying a deke to it.

Thanks Greenhead, I went to to "gadgets" and got educated I guess.

My general read was if I got a 12 volt pump I better use a 12 volt battery.
If I go this route I'll have a deke or a pole with a battery with wires running to two butts. I hate wires.

If I get a 6 volt pump then I could go to a 6 volt battery and stick it in the butt.

Anybody know where you can get a 6 volt bildge pump like they now use in the pulsaters?

i use a two anchor system with a jerk cord.... one anchor under the decoys, one by the shore....so the string stays on the bottom out of the way of the dogs and the boats....more trouble but the batteries never go dead........
