Newbie here... but read on

Postby Duckin' Around » Thu Aug 21, 2003 8:37 am

Found your site and it looks good.

I am not gonna try and be a wolf in sheeps clothing...

I am a YANKEE. Are my kind welcome here?

Lived in NJ until I was 19 (30 now), then I wised up and moved down to NC and eventually GA and back to NC. Got married to a yankee and now find myself back in NJ. Been hunting ducks for about 12 years. Duck hunting in NJ is actually damn good. I have hunted in MD,VA, NC and Texas too.

I have been reading some post on here, good bit of humor, good bit of seriousness.

Well, first you gotta pluck everybody's ducks on opening weekend, then maybe we will let you in :lol: .

Guess if they let me in, then they will take just about anybody. Just kiddin' round, welcome aboard.

Welcome, Duckin' Around. I see you have already started to leave off the "g" in your typing. That's a good start.

If you haven't already done so, start learning the word (and melody) to "Dixie". There might be a test on it later.

ALSO:

blocks = decoys
soda pop = coke (whether or not that's what it is)

You have to eat biscuits with a meat for breakfast at least during duck season. We'll save the grits for the advanced course.

:wink:

I knew this would happen. Next thing you know, they'll put in the Yazoo and try to cut through a loop in the Big River. I'm not eatin' horses.

Welkomme!
