Thanks for the info 450, I got curious about the whole thing when about 500 birds started holding on a bean field that borders one of my brakes. I busted a dam to let some water out and it flooded part of the field, and that stretch of water is too long for those guys to concentrate the birds into one area of it.

Its amazing how the landowners of property along a public waterway have tried to build levees on the bank so they can pump the fields with public water so they can get high dollar leases and also get government subsidies for crops that were flooded by the same waterway. They want their cake and eat it, too. You have many oxbo"s that they have built levees to cause them to be non navigable until the water is at flood stage or higher causes a blowout and try to tell you that if you want to be legal you need to get bck in the river. How do they think that body of water was formed in the first place. I kind of wish another earthquake of 1812 would happen to let them see who really owns the land. God gave us what we have and their greedy greedy greedy paws have tried to hoard something that should be part of all generations to enjoy. They certainly don't own the birds in the air or the water that falls from the heavens. But one thing is for certain they should forgive them that trespass against them or their trepasses will not be forgiven. The good lord knows that when we die he's not going to care if you owned land or not or how big you blind was but how you treated one another. WE ALL HAVE PAID OUR TAXES FOR THE CORPS OF ENGINEERS TO TRY THEIR BEST TO PROVIDE THE FARMER WITH THE BEST OPPORTUNITY TO GROW THEIR CROPS AND IF THEY DON'T MAKE A CROP OUR TAXES PAY THE FARMER WHEN HE DOESN'T MAKE A CROP. FROM WHAT I'VE SEEN THERE IS ENOUGH HABITAT FOR EVERYONE TO HAVE A SPOT TO HUNT AND WOULD BENEFIT ALL IF COMMON SENSE WERE USED. WE MIGHT NOT HAVE BIG CONCENTRATIONS OF DUCKS IN A FEW AREAS AND THE FUN COULD BE HAD BY ALL!!!!!!THAT MY OPINION AND IF I GET ANOTHER TRESPASSING TICKET I'LL PAY IT LIKE I DID THE FIRST TIME. bUT THE GUY THAT HAD ME ARRESTED PASSED AWAY A FEW YEARS LATER, I WONDER IF HE WOULD BE SUCH AN AHOLE NOW??????????????????????????????????????????

makembleed I think that if you owned some prime hunting land that was loaded with ducks that you would not have this same attitude for people trespassing on it. And for the record my place is across the gravel road from the river. The only time you could get to it from the river was about two weeks ago when the water was up. All the jackasses that are coming in on it know there mistake. By the way we had a good day yesterday, 7 mallards, 4 wood ducks, 1 pintail.

Hey chopper, I don't know about all those other jacks but usually where I hunt is public and I may be one joke over the line but I try real hard to not interfere with anyones hunt. I feel like I have helped alot of folks by keeping the ducks moving because they will get down and not fly. The ducks have used the river more this year than the lakes. I've burned alot of petro on the river and pushed alot of ducks back to the fields. Also, I'd rather be a river trespassing rebel than a bulldog on a lease!!! HaHa!!! By the way my freezer is full of ducks and I have had a great year, maybe one of the best except no bands. I probably will never own a duck hole but I will never be sad about a bad year for someone who waits on the ducks to come to them. That just would not feel like duck hunting. I will quit first. I've hunted out of a boat for 35 years in Arkansas and Mississippi. If I never hunted again I can say its been a blast. You can call me whatever you want to call me but it want be a fourwheeler bean field hunter. Been there and done that. I also don't like hunting with more than one other hunter because I like to know if I killed the duck or not. Nothing worse than someone claiming that band. By the way I've been called alot of names but my friends call me DICK.

DuckSlayer,

It might cost the same, but the only problem is that it will probably be a short guided hunt since most people will find out after the first shots if not sooner. I don't know if i want a one shot guided hunt.

chopper30.......I think what DD is saying is the fine would cost the same as a guided hunt, sooooooooo, why chance the trespass charge/fine and just get a guide hunt. At least you would know your legal and you could enjoy a nice hunt well into the morning. I think its an advertisement for his services .
