Ricky Dunn's Echo calls are hard to beat. The wooden Timber calls will go veeeery soft.
Also, there is a guy here in Jackson named Dick Reed who hand makes calls. An old tennis buddy, initials R.C.,can go softer and nastier than most I've heard on them.He does tweek the reed a little.

Sometimes you just have to close your eyes, count to ten, take a deep breath and remind yourself that you wouldn't look good in prison stripes... and just smile at that dumbass and walk away.
I have a friend here in Jonesboro (Chris Charette) that makes a really good soft blowing call. Quackerjack is the name that he uses. All are handmade and tuned to your liking. I personally blow a short single reed acrylic, a short single reed Cocabola and a long single reed Madagasgar ebony. The stock really doesn't make that big of a diffrence in the sound of the call, I have blown a cherry wood call that sounds just as good which has surprised me the most. My lightest blowing call is the acrylic. I won the calling contest (Meat Calling) here in Jonesboro last year with it. And it is my main staple that I use in the woods now. He also makes a reed and a half model that sounds really good. you can get them in domestic woods, imported woods, Corian (counter top materal) or acrylic. The # is 870-933-8703.
Hey, do farts have lumps?
