What is the teal limit

Postby hotty toddy » Tue Nov 19, 2002 4:37 pm

I have to ask this question after the grey duck question. How many teal can you kill during big duck season. This may be a stupid question but I would appreciate any input.

In North Bolivar county it is 12 . Just kidding I have always understood it to be 4 and my partners say you can kill 6.

The limit is four during the early teal season, but during the big duck season, it is six.

Thanks guys. Since the GW has confirmed it I will go with six. Never killed that many teal anyway but glad I know just in case.

How many of you were hunting when the limit on teal and pintails was 10?

Yeah, Wetfoot, you're tellin' your age, now. Hard to believe that when you could kill 10 pintails, we rarely ever saw one in the south delta, but now, when you can kill 1, they are all over us! Can't say I ever killed 10 even when it was legal, though. Back then, it was very rare to ever see a gadwall, too; I didn't know what it was when I saw my first one! I remember how big a deal it was when I killed my first pintail on the north side of Hillside. Wore that feather in my cap for a long time!
