Spoon, no doubt pumps and doubles are some of the most dependable ducks guns around. I shot an 870 at ducks for years and there no question in my mind about a pumps dependablity. However, I've shot my SBE for the past 10 years or so mainly using 3.5" winchesters and I've never had a single problem that I can remember. This year, I switched to the SBE II and 3" HV hevi-shot #4's. That's when this problem started. Hopefully we'll get it figured out 'cause I sure like this new SBE II and the hevi-shot as too!

I've shot the xtrema for 3 years now. It failed to chamber a second shell only once. The only reason for this is I hadn't cleaned the gun all season that year. I'd put a dirty, old rusted xtrema up to a clean, new browning any day 8)

You guy's having trouble with those benellies need to take the stock off and clean the recoil tube. The piston inside of it is getting jammed. The inside of that tube must be clean and slick as a whistle! If there is any rust or pitting inside this tube, CHANGE IT!!!!!! This gun can also fire unwanted in that condition! EVEN WITH THE SAFETY ON!!!!!!!!

I have the SBE 2 new this year found out something this weekend it will not cycle the Winchester 3.5 experts.....it will however run the Supremes and the Remington 3.5 no trouble whatsoever the Experts are about 1/8 inch longer than the others and the crimped ends catch just enough to slow the action down im guessing. I suppose they figuer if your gonna spend 1300$ on a shotgun you wont shoot the bargin steel shot :P
