Mark I have one and will bring it to the camp and let you check it out for yourself. But for the type of hunting you do I wouldn't waste the money. Good for timber hunting.

Get a shell belt if you don't already have one. It's for safety as well in case you fall in the water, the water won't fill up your waders. It also allows me to fold over my waders and not have to have the straps bucked when shooting.
I've tried vests and it's just one more thing to wear. That style isn't very cumbersome, but it is still more clothing than I want to wear.

A shell belt will go however high or low you want. I normally wear mine up on my chest above the handwarming pocket on my waders

One of the best things I've bought for hunting in the woods.

I've had one for several years. I wear it everytime I hunt, regardless of terrain.
The kids like to help load the shells the night before..
Only drawback is that it's made in China. I was a little disappointed with that.

Had a shell belt and didn't like it. The strap would slide into the neoprene and I'd have to fish it out in the dark. The shells always seemed to be turning upside down somehow and falling out. I got a Drake vest and really like it. It's cut high enough that the shells ain't going to get wet. A pro and con is it has really wide elastic holding the shells. It's kind of hard to get them in but they ain't going anywhere unless I take one out once they are.
