going to the Peabody new year's eve party...two couples. Anyone ever been...what's it like? More importantly...where's a good place to eat dinner that Sat. nite that won't just break the budget but is still good and relatively classy? Thanks...kill 'em all when they show up OK?

I was thinking of mentioning Texas De Brazile but the "dont wanna break the budget" had it in question. It will run you about 80 without drinks, for 2 people.. And the meat they have is fantastic.

One meeelion dollars!

Nah, I don't mind paying around a hundred for a good meal..found a place called Flight where we can eat a four course for about 55 each...that'll work. Tough part was getting a reservation....got it though so we're good to go. Reckon they'd be pizzed if I knocked off a couple of mallards at the Peabody?

The Flight is fantastic and was my initial recommendation when seeing your post. You get to "Flight" your drinks, salads, entree and desserts, meaning you sample smaller portions of each.

For example, if you would like the bourbon flight, they will give you a small 2oz or so of Gentelman Jack, Knob Creek and Woodford. The entree of the "Feathered Flight" could be Chicken, Ostrich, Duck. Beef Flight might be Kobe Beef, Filet Mignon and Prime Rib. Finish with the Cheescake flight - a piece of Strawberry Cheesecake, Macadamia Nut Cheesecake and Chocolate Cheesecake!

It's within easy walking distance of the Peabody. About two blocks west and two blocks north.
