I don't believe that boy had any waders on...
So me and a friend were hunting some flooded timber a few days ago, got in early, got our spot and were set up sippin coffee and talking titties.
We rock on and about 30 minutes bf daylight we see a large, bright light coming our way. Nothing new- a late comer, lazy "turd-cutter" we would just ask him to come hunt with us. Well "he" rolls up and it is 6 of them. Only one had a light, two didn't have a gun. The alpha male walks up, shakes hands and asks if we are the only ones hunting the hole. We answer yes. He then asks where the mojos, etc are and what he would do if he were us. We are being cordial at this point, but getting agitated. He continues on that this is the only hole they know about, typical lazy "illegitimate child" bs. He says they are going to setup on the other side and put out their spread. I politely said we are not interested. He insists they only know about this hole. Well at that point I tell him he can walk 50 yards 'attaway and there is a nice opening in the timber. They will have to get to "their" hole earlier next time. They get the point and leave.
Well my padna asks me, "man did you see that guy with no waders, only had ankle high mucks on and cotton wal mart camo pants, he was wet up to his shins". I realized then they knew of other holes they wanted to hunt that one because it was a sliver of dry land near the hole he could shoot from. Keep in mind it is 25 degree that morning. Then I realize the hole they went to requires them to navigate across a PECKER DEEP ditch run. We have a good laugh kill a few ducks and wait it out. Well here they come at 7:15, ol boy has water bleeding up to his nipples. Note to him if he is around this dump: waders are usually required in a flooded greentree RESERVOIR. Damn there are some idiots in our swamps.

Good Stuff! We got set up this weekend in a hole saw a good many ducks flyin on the boat ride in getting pretty pumped about the hunt. Well we get all set up (we are doing this out of the boat cause water is to deep to walk so makes it a bit harder) and the next thing we know not 1 but 3 bass boats come in wave to us and drop trolling motor about 80 yards from us and proceed to bass fish! Needless to say we picked up and got the he!! out of dodge!!

I can't say much on them. I wandered into a new timber hole this weekend and wasn't to sure of where I was going. No one else was around so I knew no one else was in there. Got there really early to wonder around and look some. Well it was 5:00 and 24 degrees at the time. Well I stepped into a beaver run that came up to my neck. My Mack's hip waders werent good enough. The water was little less then thigh deep till I hit that joker. Only thin floating was the floating bag with all my stuff. It was a cold cold morning standing in my underwear trying to get the water out of everything!
Oh mojos still work once they fall in the water and get stepped on to get out! Jut run all the mud out of them and water then stand upside down for a minute. I did go back in the water also to get them as I was already wet. I will be buying some chest waders again this week in sure.
got to laugh about it now bc I haven't done that in years.

May the wind always be at your back and the sun upon your face, and may the wings of destiny carry you aloft to dance with the stars.

I had the same thing happen at an unnamed body of water. They set up 20 yds. from me and started crappie fishing! I guess I know were a good crappie spot is on said unnamed body of water! I felt like firing over their heads and saying," Did you see those mallards?"Morris1 wrote:Good Stuff! The best part was seeing said fishermen later that afternoon. Classy fella. Morris was parked at the gas pump that we had to wait 30 min to get to and ol boy is chatting it up with another one of the fisherman. He turns around to see what his daughter, gf, sister or w/e is doing while he's talking to his buddy. She's just sitting in the front seat of his 1984 astro van. He politely turns around and says this jewel "what the f*€k are you doing b!+€h, pump the dam gas. If you can't get the pump to reach, back up and hit those mofo's. They've been there too long already."Morris1 wrote:The guys I had with me wouldnt let me shoot!

Same thing here. Running late. In the interest of time, we set up not too far off main water. And then here they came........as the sun came up, I counted 37 bass boats within 200 yards of us. MCC tournament and we must have been by the honey hole. As we were packing up, we heard laughing and "......dem boys think they gonna kill some ducks with all of us sitting out here....."

I suspect if someone would have hollared "Take em" and fired off a few rounds toward the sky, some of these folks would have moved along (or fell out of the dang boat).
