Between 10 of us we put 113 birds on the books. Good mixed bag greys, green wings were the majority, with one green wing banded in saskachewan 8/10/11. Couple models, two red heads, and a can to boot. Pretty good opener if I have to say so myself..good luck to everybody opening next weekend.

They looked normal to me. Yellow feet with an irradescent speculum. We shoot them on every hunt, they are our local birds down this way.

We actually call them summer french!

Good opener on our end, however the low river is making it TOUGH to hunt where I hunt. We had 20 opening morning poor shooting by unnamed members of my group were responsible! Sunday too many yahoos in the spots I wanted to hunt went fishing instead 150 specks and 207 white trout in 2 hours. It made not hunting a little more bearable.

We may not call them that, but I know what a French duck is! I've hunted your part of the world some B.J. It's a cool place for sure.
