Snipe hunters
Snipe hunters
I'm doing an article on snipe hunting and need some folks to interview. We got on 'em pretty good last February in a rice pond I drained late January. I'm already seeing snipe in some of my holes this fall.
If you are a snipe hunter and you have tips and/or pics, I'd like to talk with you. PM me and I can call you or you can email.
Thanks.

Re: Snipe hunters
People hunt them outside them coming in the duck spread?
I would love to go on a proper snipe hunt, minus the paper bag and stick.

Assuming that you can include people outside of MS, PM Webfootnut; he does quite a bit of snipe hunting here in NW FL and is usually quite succesful

Re: Snipe hunters
We get alot of snipe in north florida, and a good number of people hunt them too. They are always in clean mud flats they dont like alot of grass/stubble and alot of times when you jump more than one if you shoot then sit back down and hide because more than likely they will give you another shot while buzzing back around looking for a place to go down! I have snipe hunted my whole life i take off every nov.1 which is opening day in florida i have always loved it, my normal two snipe hunting buddies and me all got to kill our 8 bird limit this year on opening day ill pm you some pics soon.

All the ones I've ever killed were also on big mud flats usually start seeing them now and don't see anymore after mid Decemberish.

Years ago, took my friend (now my bother-n-law) "snipe" hunting. Had a pretty good time trying to catch them things with plastic grocery sacks.
