Got a Cubs Scouts thing on Saturday morning from 10 to 12, then probably taking my son out that afternoon. Then to a church Hayride that night..

We'll be out there doing something. Hopefully a deer or two or three or four will cooperate.

We have one at our club, got lots of non club memebers planning on bringing some kids out this year. The way I see it people did it for me and now its the guys my age turn to do for the younger generation.

Last year I think there was about 15 kids, hoping to have more this year

The 8 year old is salivating. He has an open weekend from travel tackle football and he is blood thirsty.
Never would have dreamed that my desire to shoot would really be replaced my desire to get animals( deer, turkey, duck) in shooting range for my boy. Hunting with a kid, teaching that kid to hunt is the best thing ever.

Well, even if the 16 yr old is past the cut off (and I don't know for sure), he/she can still light the smoke pole up Monday the 7th with the regular crowd.

Youth weekend is my favorite day of the season. What is better than taking a kid hunting once you are over 40? I hope junior connects this year. He missed 4 last year. His mom went with me last weekend and got a case of the scope eye while sighting in. She wouldn't listen when I told her to make sure she had the gun on her shoulder. I will give her credit, although she was bleeding like a stuck hog she never once said "Let's go.". She sucked it up while my little boy continued to practice.
