Bet they won't roll that yard again....
I was sitting here watching tv and my dogs started barking so I get up to look out and see what the problem was..looked out and a car load of folks was trien to roll my neighbors yard....now I have no problem with folks having fun I admit I done it when I was younger...these folks was grown though! The same thing happend around this time last year and the wind blew most of the paper in my yard for me to clean up. So, not wanting to go through that chit again I decided to make it interesting...I grab the old SBE out of the cabinet load her down with birdshot and eased out the backdoor...I walked around the back of the house and eased up to the edge of the yard and commensed to hollerin and blasting off shots in the air...LOL...I only wish I would of had a video camera cause the reaction of these folks was the funniest stuff I think I have ever seen in my life!!!!!There was folks screamin and runnin around like crazy trien to jump in the car. That poor little PT cruizer they was in caught hell gettin outa the yard..I didnt know they could get some yonder like that...Go ahead and bash on me but it was hilarious!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Bet they won't roll that yard again....
My mom was a school teacher, and my friends made it a point to try and roll my yard every halloween. I made it my personal goal to stop them every year, and I did except for the 7th period they skipped our senior year to go do it.
They walked about .5 mi through a muddy cotton field one year. I heard them coming from about 200 yds away. I waited til they got within 25 yds of the backyard fence and I shucked the 410 and let one go. They face planted into the mud then took off.

About this time every year someone reposts a story on the Refuge by TrinityRiverRat on the Texas page about his Halloween run-in with some highschool kids trying to roll his yard. It is one of the best stories I have ever seen on any hunting message board. The Refuge is blocked at my office or I would try to find to post a link. If anyone can find it, the story is worth posting.
