When introducing the offense on tonight's Raven vs Jets game, when all the players say what school they went to, Oher said North Memphis Tennessee. Is he so ashamed of Ole Miss he doesn't claim them anymore, either?

Seriously, he went to Ole Miss, had a movie made about him going to Ole Miss, why wouldn't he say it in the intro?

Full of $#!+ anyway he must need street cred. That ninja spent the better part of his school yrs living in a prominent part of germantown, attending Briarcrest christian academy. Je is about as ghetto as a pasty red head whos family owns a small island.

I noticed a couple of weeks ago that another Ole Miss alum (can't remember who) said "University of South Panola" in his intro.

I have also noticed this trend. Mike Wallace has done it and so has Peria Jerry.

Despite my hatred towards Ole Miss, these guys have no reason for showing their disrespect towards the university by doing this. Ole Miss put all of them in the position they are in now ....... which is making millions. Their high school or hometown sure as hell didn't.

x2 and I think I am even more shocked that Oher didn't, at least, name the private school that Sandra Bullock paid for.

Maybe they are members of Forward Rebels and refuse to give any publicity to the University till a change is made.... crazier things have happened, and what better way to boycott than to deny OM any national coverage of former players.

Even the miss state players that got caught up in the probation stuff years ago still said miss state was their college.

Well, since Ole Miss is horrible this year, worrying about this stuff seems like a legitimate waste of time.

perhaps that wanted to throw a bone to their high school or hometown...... no football guy, nor do i care quite frankly. but i feel strongly that some guys wouldnt have made to the college or a college for that matter without one of two things happening in their hometown...... a- perhaps a good group of small town folks helpin them along the way when maybe their parents wasnt around...... or two- maybe a drive and desire from their high school coach preachin to them to work hard enuff to get better and get out of that that town. either way, im gonna say i completely disagree with the last statement in your quote, and say that it very well could have had ALOT to do with them gettin to where they went.
