Can anyone give me some feedback on the deer and turkey in Marshall County South of 78 say between Byhalia and Holly Springs. Private land with row crop, CRP, and timber. All the farms look good but?

Ive never hunted there but done a lot of work all over the county. It would be pretty good i imagine if you have some good neighbors. There are lots of farms owned by memphis folks that are well managed. Then you got the Holly Springs Nat'l forest and a lot of dog hunting. Plenty of game either way.

I hunted Holly Springs a ton when in Optometry school in Memphis. That area has some nice game, ESP turkeys. I killed my limit all 4 years of school in Memphis, I loved it up there.

Lots of turkey, but the deer need some improvement. I lease 938 acres in Marshall county and I limit out on turkeys every season. I deer hunted very hard last year and I only killed a doe on my place. I saw a few bucks, but they were very small. I do most of my deer hunting around Clay county MS and MO. Good luck!
